Well, finally then…

time to start updating you on my forays in, around and beyond Dakar, Senegal. It’s been settling-in time these two weeks, punctuated by interesting meetings, mad incidents and even a bit of work. More about these things later. This just marks the start: I will update you first on what’s been happening in the past fortnight since I got here and then I’ll update you regularly on people and events that cross my path. First destination this week: Saint Louis. Then: Bamako, Mali. From then on, it remains open but Liberia and Guinea will be featuring prominently on these pages, even if I cannot go there in person. This is especially true of Ginea, which has started refusing journalists entry when they fly into Conakry airport. So in the next few days, come back to this brand new blog, relax, sit back, put your feet up and enjoy!
